Graduation Requirements

San Juan Diego Catholic High School operates on a semester system with seven class periods. Beginning in the 2007-2008 academic year, incoming freshmen will be required to complete 30 credits for graduation.


English & Language Arts   4 credits
Mathematics   4 credits*
Science   4 credits*
Social Studies & Economics   4 credits
Theology   4 credits**
Spanish   3 credits
P.E./Health   2 credits
Corporate Work Study Program   2 credits**
Fine Arts   1 credit
Technology Applications   1 credit
Speech   1/2 credit
Junior Seminar   1/2 credit *
TOTAL   30 credits


* Students enrolled at San Juan Diego previous to the Fall semester of the 2007-2008 academic year need only earn three credits each in math and science. Beginning in the 2007-2008 academic year, a single semester of College-Prep Seminar will replace the previous requirement of taking both Junior and Senior Seminar.
** Transfer students are required to earn on credit of theology and one-half credit in the Corporate Work Study Program for each year of attendance at San Juan Diego Catholic High School.
